Kiran Rinaldi awakens one day, confused about how her surroundings, herself, and life in general. All she knows is she is waiting for her parents to return. As she goes about her routine, she remembers more and more about her life.

Taking place in the Rinaldi Sanctum, a centuries-old seaside sanctum dedicated to the goddess of death,  she struggles to adjust to a life that feels strangely unfamiliar. Early on, she is reunited with Aizia Callow who presents as an a kind, albeit eccentric and possibly dangerous childhood friend whose fascination with death is matched only by her unwavering devotion to Kiran.

As the days pass, forgotten memories begin to resurface, unsettling truths come to light, and the line between grief and obsession grows dangerously thin. Faced with a love that refuses to accept mortality, Kiran must ultimately decide whether to let go... or remain forever.
